The Role of System Technician Workplace

As part of our management group Workplace, which currently consists of 15 people, you will be responsible for the development, installation, and management of our workplace services with high availability requirements. You will also have the opportunity to participate in various projects, where you work to implement, improve, and streamline our workplace solutions, as well as actively contribute to the development of new solutions.

The role is a permanent full-time position. Start date is by agreement.

Your Future Workplace

IT-centrum supports residents, patients, and employees in Region Jönköping County with digital solutions that make a real difference. We are driven to meet the region's needs for IT services and to be proactive in identifying opportunities for business development through effective IT. Your primary workplace will be at Datorgatan in Huskvarna, but we plan to move to new beautiful premises at Batterigatan, Asecs in the fall of 2026.

IT-centrum has a collective responsibility for the IT operations in Region Jönköping County. In close collaboration with our customers, we contribute to the development and support of the region's operations with good IT solutions. We currently have 240 engaged and forward-leaning employees with high competence and a proactive attitude within their respective areas of responsibility. Together, we work to become Sweden's best IT department!

Your Profile

We now need to strengthen the team with an additional resource and are therefore looking for an experienced system technician for our workplace unit. The team you will join works with the development, management, and operation of the region's workplace services such as the Windows client platform, mobile devices, messaging systems, printing, and physical and digital meeting rooms.

Tools we work with within the Microsoft 365 sphere include Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. Additionally, we work with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager MECM (SCCM), packaging applications for PCs and mobile devices, Exchange server, and several vendor-specific systems to manage printing and meeting rooms.

We prefer that you applying for the position have a university degree in IT or equivalent competence, and are a senior system technician with at least 5 years of documented experience working with the aforementioned tools and systems in mission-critical environments. Travel may occur in the position, so a B driver's license is required. Excellent knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is required to participate in customer and supplier dialogues and to create clear system documentation.

You are a proactive problem solver with an analytical ability to break down complex challenges into manageable parts. With a structured approach, you create order and efficiency in your work, while your initiative allows you to find solutions before problems arise. You see opportunities where others see obstacles and drive processes forward with commitment and a sense of responsibility.
